P.K.A Ausf K Konrad

The Konrad is a variant of the Gustav modified for commanders and communications use. While it was a SF3D design, the Wave kit most notably modifies the shape of the canopy from the standard PKA sloping canopy to a protruding bubble. This is probably the biggest difference that a Wave kit has made to an established Ma.K design with 80's origins (as far as I know). The kit builds up wonderfully and is very similar in construction to the previous Wave Gustav.

The kit was built most stock with just some standard changes: epoxy sculpted joints, brass rod used to replace all railings and antennae, and the rear engine cover replaced with mesh. The wall section is made from a plastic kit meant for table top games terrain and the ground is cork board. I love the pilot bust in this kit - the officer's uniform and headphones is a welcome change from the usual helmet / VR goggles / visor that most Ma.K pilots come with.

When I was constructing this suit, I started to formulate an idea for an original PKA variant suit based on this design - while it is a great design, I think I have an interesting idea for a twist on it, so please look for that coming soon!
