AFSSA E6 NEW RALLY PAWN

A variation of the Wave AFS kit, the New Rally Pawn, according to the camo card specs, is a modified and upgraded Luna Pawn. Not too much to say about this kit, other than it builds as expected - however it has a bit of a cool history for me personally as I bought it during my first trip to Japan in 2015 and then I actually brought it back in 2018 to exhibit at Ma.K Tamagawa No.9! So this kit has traveled a few thousand miles to and from Tokyo!

The main modifications were the vinyl power cables were replaced with flat wound bass strings and the joints were sculpted with epoxy putty. The kit was painted entirely with GaiaNotes paints and this was my attempt at the off-white scheme that so many space type Ma.K suits are shown in.

The base is a mix of spare parts on a wooden disc found in a local junk shop. The lunar regolith was made using a mix of matte medium and white and dark bluish gray pigments.

I really like the pilot sculpt in this kit, one of the most enjoyable parts of the Wave AFS kits is that they almost all have a unique pilot sculpt and this female pilot has great detail and expressiveness to it. This is also one of the few Wave kits with the classic kraft paper box design as well as a camo card!
